Grrrrrayson updating again from home - where there is one less face in our abode. And it MIGHT be my fault....
You see - I have been getting rather EXCITED of late, and when I get excited I may jump up and down on things, and people - usually their abdomens - and on one occasion I may have put all my 14+kg weight onto Daddy's chest.
Now this may have been on the day we went to see all that Andy Warhol stuff (which WAS really good fun - thus I was fairly excited)
To cut a long story short - Daddy has had a lot of chest pain ever since and he could even feel his chest bones creaking against each other on Friday! This might have freaked him out a bit 'cause he got mummy to take him up to hospital on Friday night and she didn't come home until REALLY REALLY LATE. (I was getting a bit anxious as I needed some mummy cuddles). I am learning how to be a good Grayson - thus I slept in until 7am, which was rewarded with LOTS of mummy with funny fuzzy hair cuddles.
Aaaah... fuzzy hair cuddles
It almost distracted me from the fact that Daddy wasn't there this morning. Mummy tried to explain that he was in hospital getting some medication to make him better.
I did say ALMOST
Mummy made up for the lack of morning daddy action by taking me up to see Daddy for several hours today. We had lots of fun - I hid in cupboards, pulled big books out of draws (aka the holy bible - ed) and tried to work out what was all that plastic stuff on wheels hanging around daddy (pain relief, antibiotics)
It was all pretty exhausting - so I came home and slept for a few hours. Hopefully mummy will take me up to see my daddy tomorrow.
I do miss him - mummy is too soft and squishy to jump on effectively at times!

Scary gallery lady
GOMA - Part 2 (or what Grayson left out)
After seeing Andy and having had lunch we wandered around the rest of the exhibitions in the GOMA. We found a large red doughnut like object on a wall that in the middle seemed to disappear into black nothingness. Very intriguing! This was also our first encounter with "Scary gallery lady" She starting stalking us as we approached the doughnut. Obviously she could sense my love of the iced cakes and was worried that I might drool on it. Every time we got closer, she got closer. Finally she could help herself no longer and she had to pounce. But her target was Seb not me. "Put that backpack under there!" She exclaimed while pointing to the bugaboo. Was she really worried that we were going to try to slip the 3 metre high doughnut into our small green nappy bag and make off with it? Deciding that resistance was futile we concurred with her demands. But what about the other young ladies strolling nearby with their handbags (large enough to engulf half a dozen green nappy bags) draped over their shoulders in much the same way Seb was wearing his accessory. They seemed to escape her attention. She must have thought Seb looked dodgy.
We then proceeded to the next room where gallery staff where unveiling and preparing to install a large elephant This attracted a few curious patrons, some of whom made the mistake of getting too close. As I was facing the other way looking at some "mouth" art, the peaceful ambience of the gallery was shattered by a very loud clapping sound accompanied with a shouted "YOU NOT TOUCH!!!" Blimey I thought, what was that. Spinning around I saw a gentleman retreating with tail between his legs being followed by none other than the scary gallery lady. All the while lecturing him on why he should not have been silly enough to touch the elephant. This didn't seem to serve as enough of a warning for some who seemed to want to test fate by inching slowly closer and closer to said elephant. This time however scary gallery lady was not going to let someone else get away with such blatant disregard for gallery art. Even before the hand had a chance of hitting it's mark the thunderous roar of "YOU NOT TOUCH!" could be heard echoing through the hall quickly followed by the source of the warning bearing down on the unsuspecting art lover.
Well, at least she has a purpose in life! Overall the gallery was experience was worth it but we did seem to get a lot of "official" warnings from staff......at least 3 for taking photos of Grayson (who happened to be strategically placed in front of certain exhibits), one for wearing a back pack and Seb got done for using his foot instead of his hands to set the silver balls in motion in the old gallery foyer. Come to think of it I think Seb attracts trouble. But we wouldn't have it any other way :)

The Warhol Treatment
Oh MY GOD
I can't BELIEVE we did this - I mean, yeah - I get the whole photographing the cute new blue eyed boy thing but ..... why include the oldies in this???? Hmmmmm??
Its ME who is the cute one
Mum and Dad?
Well, you have seen the picture
Anyway
If you haven't guessed, it is the Grrrrrrr-ayson monster speaking.... yes AGAIN. Its hard keeping up with my responsibilities these days....
I find it stressful enough being the CUTE one in this trio
But I digress
Mum, Dad and Uncle Seb decided I needed some MORE education in an artistic bent and took me to see the Andy Warhol exhibition. This was punctuated by daddy telling me to NOT go there (wherever that was) and mummy saying that - Grayson, Andy doesn't want you to touch his stuff.
That being said, I did have fun with these REALLY cool silver balloons. Something I think the parental and "uncle" units did too (not that they would admit it as they are trying to be grown up and all..)
MWAH - yes uncle seb, I did read your last blog entry...
But....
I have to be responsible now
Back to childcare tomorrow
SIGH
sometimes,
it is hard being the Grayson

Trust me...I'm a doctor!
Nice try G! That never worked for me so don't think it is going to work for you. Grayson raided my doctors bag and found the stethoscope. He seemed to know what to do with it without any help from the parents. He must have been taking notes when we were watching scrubs on DVD.
Not much has happened since Christmas. We were supposed to be going to Couran Cove on Monday for 5 days but with the bad weather and another cyclone brewing we decided to cancel. Not the best place to visit in the wet. Oh well, another time perhaps. Maybe we will go to Europe instead this year. Let's hope anyway!

Shiver me timbers...
And all that sort of stuff. Grayson C finally giving an update of our Christmas day/week (yes I know I am late - give a 15 month old a break!)
Now, where was I
The fun began Christmas eve with Grandma and Grandpa, Nan, Pa and Ron coming over for a BBQ. Mummy seemed a bit concerned about my tendency to head off towards the BBQ - it did look RATHER fun - she kept muttering something about Acticoat, skin grafts and how it might be a bit embarassing for her or something. Hmmm. Don't know about that. In the end I crashed after main course/present opening as it was getting a little late.
The next morning I woke up, and there was this SHIP at the end of our bed AND it had PIRATES on it (which match my pirate PJs - AAAARRR) not to mention a big sack filled with presents. The presents were pretty good but I had to tell mummy and daddy that the best present is early morning squishey - so they took the hint and got me a bottle of that too.
On the less than pleasant side, my mouth was REALLY hurting and I needed lots of pain relief and bonjella to stop that molar coming through. I may have been feeling a bit frazzled at this stage so I had to make sure mummy and/or daddy were giving me lots of cuddles all the time. (This may have put a dint in their lunch prep plans but I think they need to realise that it is ALL ABOUT ME)
Nan and gramps and Aunty Riley came over for lunch and I got even MORE cool presents. I think we need to go to ikea to buy up a bit more storage space for them all. Ahem, father?
Today we went to the Gold Coast to see Grandma and Great Grandma. I got to play with my older cousin Matthew - who pretended to do a funny walk after me (and TOLD mummy he was waddling like me- AAAACK! I don't waddle!!! I am WALKING, I AM WALKING!! So what if I loll about from side to side. This is a patented Grayson swagger that I am practising for when I get older and need to impress...someone or other)
WADDLING???
Its enough to drive a baby-toddler to more drink
I think I need to lie down now

Santa 07
This week we thought we would see how Grayson reacted to Santa. Mmmmm.... "not so sure about this Daddy" was his response. Well what did we expect. Although he was better behaved than Henry (the 16 month old in front of him) who screamed bloody murder! Maybe next year he will understand what it is all about. He did get a nice balloon from the balloon fairy in DJ's. But walking down the mall some low life stuck a pin in it causing it deflate (I hope Santa was watching and added that loser to his naughty list!) Luckily daddy had a back up balloon in G's backpack that he was able to quickly inflate and all was good again :)

Grayson Helps Out
It has been awhile since I last posted but I blame Australia's poor internet connections. You see I have been in hospital and had to deal with dial up! And let me tell you it is even worse than I remember. I truly don't understand how anybody can use it these days. But maybe that is the point.....so everyone will sign up for Australia's crappy broadband instead. Oh well at least PM Rudd will sort things out with 100mbps broadband. Anyway here is Grayson's favourite pastime de jour!
